Please see the declining fertility page to see why organic may be important.
Many countries have certification programs for organic food. There is no certification program for organic sperm.
The following is a model based on common existing labels:
| Existing Labels | Sperm Donor equivalent |
![]() Trent with Blueberries |
| "Herbicides/Pesticides Free" | -no vaccination use | |
| "Antibiotics Free" | -no antibiotics use | |
| "Free of Synthetic Hormones" | -no pharmeceutical / illegal drug use | |
| "Irradiation Free" |
-no man-made targeted ionizing radiation exposure (medical/dental/body scanner X-Rays) |
|
|
"No GMO" (Genetic modification) |
-no processing (freezing/cleaning/sex selection) | |
| Organic Feed / "Free Range" | -organic/natural food diet |
Additional "carbon footprint" considerations:
- Local farm and sustainable agriculture methods used for foods in diet
- Household chemicals safety to environment
- Automobile and Transportation (CO2 and exhaust toxin contribution)
- Alternative energy (solar, wind)
- Recyclable waste
- Habitat/parkland preservation & restoration
